St. Paul Cogeneration

Sustaining a Biomass Power Plant in St. Paul

St. Paul Cogeneration is a biomass-fired combined heat and power plant that has increased the fuel efficiency and effectiveness of the city’s hot water energy system, while providing an environmentally sound energy source. The plant supplies over 75% of the thermal energy required by district heating and cooling customers in downtown St. Paul.

Collins is proud to have played an important role in this complex and high-profile project. The project had a 2,000-task construction schedule, which required a dedicated scheduling team from each subcontractor. The end result was a well-coordinated and efficient project with an on-time completion.
