In 2019, the University of St. Thomas was ready to build the Iversen Center for Faith, a multi-use, 25,000-square-foot expansion to its Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. To oversee this largely underground expansion, the University engaged Opus Design Build L.L.C. In turn, Opus hired Collins as its full-service electrical partner.
Collins worked with the University, architects, and other subcontractors to design cost-effective electrical solutions that would fit within the Center’s unconventional, subterranean, concrete-based structure.
Then, during construction, Collins installed all of the Center’s indoor and outdoor lighting and power systems. These included a medium-voltage substation and a variety of technology systems including access control, voice and data, CCTV, and fire alarm.
