The seven-story Alvera apartment complex was the first large-scale, modular construction project to be completed in the Twin Cities. Collins provided electrical, fire alarm, and network cabling infrastructure for the project, and also assisted in the implementation of the semi-automatic, vehicle stacking system in the parking garage—the largest in the Midwest.

This eco-friendly building features 192 units, most of which were built offsite and then set via crane. This scenario, coupled with very limited space onsite, required just-in-time delivery of all materials and expert coordination between the many teams involved in the build. Despite these workflow challenges and several mid-project changes, the Alvera was completed on time and began welcoming residents as scheduled.
