SMOOTH TRANSITION FOR LOCAL MANUFACTURER
When AbelConn LLC sought to move their manufacturing headquarters to Maple Grove, they hired the Opus Development Company who, in turn, selected Collins as the electrical contractor for the project. With more than 500 pieces of manufacturing equipment being relocated, AbelConn needed a design-build electrical partner that could ensure the new facility’s power distribution system would meet its considerable needs.
Following an extensive preconstruction audit, Collins designed and installed a comprehensive system that connected to the existing electrical service in the new facility, while also adding new service designed to handle the manufacturer’s large electrical loads. Additionally, Collins installed 100fc-plus lighting in manufacturing spaces and decorative lighting throughout the office and common areas. Ultimately, Collins delivered a cost-effective system that allowed AbelConn to seamlessly transition to their new facility—and quickly resume manufacturing.
