In 2018, Ryan Companies and Weidner Apartment Homes broke ground on Daymark Uptown, a new set of buildings with a combined 318 rental apartments, 25,000 square feet of commercial space, and nearly 12,000 square feet of outdoor space. Built on the high-profile, 2-acre lot that had been the Sons of Norway headquarters, the Daymark project was managed by Ryan Companies, who hired Collins as its electrical partner.

Prior to construction, Collins worked with the project’s architects to complete building information modeling (BIM), inputting all of the building’s intended electrical components (from conduits to meter banks), to proactively identify structural clashes. During construction, Collins installed all indoor and outdoor lighting and power systems, as well as many of its low-voltage technology systems like access control, network cabling, CCTV, fire alarm, and audio-video cabling. Daymark opened successfully and on time in July 2020.
