Road Reconstruction to Bolster Safety

A $120-million road construction project, Unweave the Weave reconstructed the three-mile interchanges of I-694 and I-35E in Little Canada and Vadnais Heights over four years. The project sought to eliminate unnecessary lane changes by having all entrances and exits to the highway occur on the same side of the road. Designed around increased traffic capacity and driver safety, the current layout provides for safer exits and entrances, minimal congestion, and better road surface durability.

Collins provided electrical construction for this project which included the installation of 125 single-head and 75-double-head light poles as well as traffic control signals.
