POWERING SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE

Collins served as the design-build electrical and fire alarm contractor for RL Cold’s new 292,000-square-foot cold storage facility in Lakeville, Minnesota. Supporting the project from early planning through final installation, our team delivered the electrical infrastructure required for the facility’s advanced transcritical CO₂ refrigeration technology and high-capacity distribution operations.

Working alongside the general contractor and Xcel Energy, Collins installed major electrical services, energy-efficient lighting, and power for the building’s specialized refrigeration systems, high-bay storage areas, and loading operations. The project also included electrical infrastructure for 38 cold dock doors, nine high-speed doors, and generator backup for life-safety systems, helping create a modern, efficient cold storage facility designed to support the Upper Midwest’s growing supply chain needs.
