PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with business leaders and internal experts to develop and implement Collins-specific training programs that enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Maintain and continuously improve training curriculum and career development resources.
  • Establish structured yet flexible learning frameworks that promote continuous growth across the organization.
  • Facilitate the creation of field leadership development programs to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Assist with creating career roadmaps to help employees understand their growth opportunities within Collins.
  • Support individual development plans that align personal aspirations with company needs.
  • Support identification of key roles, future leadership needs and high-potential employees to proactively address talent gaps.
  • Assist with transition planning for leadership changes and retirements to maintain business continuity.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years’ experience in training, workforce development, coaching or talent management. 
  • Basic understanding of the construction, electrical or skilled trades industry (a plus, but not required). 
  • Ability to design, manage and execute structured programs while remaining flexible to business needs. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both field and office employees. 
  • A self-starter with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
