PROJECT MANAGER: SPECIAL PROJECTS
Collins Electrical Construction has an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrical project manager to join our Special Projects team. The electrical project manager is primarily responsible for managing many small projects and service/maintenance accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage, plan, coordinate, and control all assigned and obtained project activities within budget guidelines to provide the maximum profit while delivering on promises to customers
- Plan all projects to optimize efficiency of labor, materials, supplies, equipment and tools
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary to complete the project
- Survey job sites as needed for scope of work and to determine the most cost effective and efficient plan possible
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Provide leadership and direction ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Keep informed of new electrical codes, technology, techniques and practices
- Establish and maintain relationships with new, current and future customers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-year degree in electrical construction, construction management or related field
- Minimum five years of electrical project management experience required
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, time management and leadership skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, Accubid and Bluebeam with the ability to easily learn new technology
- Regular, predictable attendance
- Valid driver’s license
