PROJECT MANAGER: SPECIAL PROJECTS

Collins Electrical Construction has an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrical project manager to join our Special Projects team. The electrical project manager is primarily responsible for managing many small projects and service/maintenance accounts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage, plan, coordinate, and control all assigned and obtained project activities within budget guidelines to provide the maximum profit while delivering on promises to customers
  • Plan all projects to optimize efficiency of labor, materials, supplies, equipment and tools
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary to complete the project
  • Survey job sites as needed for scope of work and to determine the most cost effective and efficient plan possible
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Provide leadership and direction ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Keep informed of new electrical codes, technology, techniques and practices
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new, current and future customers

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two-year degree in electrical construction, construction management or related field
  • Minimum five years of electrical project management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, time management and leadership skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, Accubid and Bluebeam with the ability to easily learn new technology
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Valid driver’s license
